Lamana Cusco

Lamana CUSCO is a four-ply yarn made of 100% Baby Alpaca. The yarn weight is DK, with a meterage of 85 m per 50 g. This classic alpaca quality is distinguished by a velvety-soft feel, delicate fluff, and a fine shine.

The alpaca wool used for CUSCO comes from Peru, where the animals are kept in their natural environment in the highlands of the Andes. Our Peruvian production partner is fair-trade certified and a member of the Asociación Internacional de la Alpaca – a non-profit organization that maintains the outstanding Alpaca quality standard and ensures economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The raw wool is spun and dyed directly on site according to the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 for baby products.

Lamana CUSCO is wonderfully warming and incomparably soft on the skin, making it ideal for cozy scarves and shawls. It gives garments like sweaters and cardigans a noble shimmer and a gently flowing drape.

Lamana CUSCO can be machine washed on a cold wool cycle. We recommend using a very small amount of a neutral, mild wool detergent without enzymes or softeners. The knitted item should then be dried gently flat and protected from direct sunlight.
